I got this from Pink Ninjabi & thought it was so interesting I would do the challenge myself. I will probably do half today & half tomorrow instead of all in one go like she did, especially since some of them have to do with music & as I’ll explain below, I don’t spend a lot of time listening to music anymore.
- Five ways to win your heart – Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate & flowers.
- Something you feel strongly about – Women’s Rights! I am part of the generation who grew up during the fight for these rights & even though I was usually too young to participate, I was very impressed with the women who were in the thick of it. I remember women burning their bras & the marches, when birth control became common place, the fight for equal pay & all the rest of it.
- A book you love – Anything written by Stephen King or Gone With the Wind.
- Bullet your whole day – Get up; perform daily ablutions; make & drink a cup of coffee; check blog & make replies; check Facebook games; make dinner & eat; watch some TV; go back to blog & check replies; finish off Facebook games for the day; go to bed about 2:30 a.m.; repeat. If I were still working I would go to work & come back & only check blog once a day & Facebook games once a day. Exciting, huh?
- Things you want to say to an ex – “If you would only get your head out of the bottle for a little while, we might have had a better chance.”
- Your views on mainstream music – I prefer music from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s more. I do like some of the current artists, but not too many.
- Five pet peeves – People who lie; People who abuse their positions; People who hold grudges; People who like to get “even”; People who feel powerful when they put other people down.
- What you ate today – So far a cup of coffee & a cinnamon raisin bagel. Plan chicken & rice for dinner.
- How important you think education is – Very! I think it’s very sad that children do not learn how to spell or write anymore, that schools have no money for music & art programs.
- Put your music player on shuffle & write the first 10 songs that play – sorry, I don’t listen to music so I have no music in my player.
- Your family – My parents are still alive & living in Winnipeg; I have 1 sister who lives in Winnipeg, she is divorced & has 3 boys; I am married for the 2nd time, I have one biological daughter, six stepchildren & three children of my heart, all of whom live in Winnipeg.
- Five guys you find attractive – Cary Grant, Matthew Modine, Hugh Grant, Sean Connery, Samuel L. Jackson.
- Your opinions about your body & how comfortable you are with it – I am not happy with the weight I have gained since I quit smoking.
- What you wore today – Not working, so I wore a house dress all day
- Your Zodiac/horoscope & if you think it fits you – I am a Sagittarius, I hate routine, I am creative, artistic & spontaneous. My sign fits me perfectly.
How about you? Will you take the challenge? I would love to read your responses so please link back to me if you decide to take up the challenge.

Fun and interesting to learn more about you, Lynda… Now I want to do this, but I just have this feeling that if I don’t do it right here and now, it won’t get done, so here goes!
1. Five ways to win my heart – Sex, sex, sex, sex & flowers. Are you surprised? But hey, at least we have one thing in common! 🙂
2. Something I feel strongly about – Being able to bench press 450 pounds. But I’d feel even more strongly about it, if I could actually DO it.
3. A book I love – The one I’ve already read, so when I see it gathering dust, I don’t feel guilty about not having read it yet, and I feel better about spending more time online.
4. Bullet your whole day – Nah, things have been looking up lately, and my mood has improved a lot, so I’ll pass on that one for now.
5. Things I want to say to an ex – I’ve been married to the same spouse for 22 years now. How about you? HaHaHaHa!!!
6. My views on mainstream music – I would like to thank today’s mainstream music, for renewing my appreciation of classical music. This may have never happened without the collective efforts of all you mainstream musicians of today, and I am sincerely grateful for all your inspiration, or maybe more for your almost total lack of it. Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Verdi are still great, while you are greatly boring.
7. Five pet peeves – 1.Tropical fish, cause they have this annoying habit of frequently dying, even when I take very good care of them. 2. Toy Poodles, cause my Mom had one, and it was like this little dog version of Linda Blair’s demonic personality in The Exorcist. 3. Cats with condescending and superior attitudes. 4. Boa Constrictors, cause they grow too fast and get way too big, and their eating habits, while at first amusing and entertaining, are just gross and disgusting after the novelty wears off. 5. Cheryl Rixon, cause I’m sorry, but there is just NO WAY that she deserved to be Penthouse Pet of The Year in 1979!
8. What I ate today – Beer for breakfast, Liquor for lunch, and Shots of Tequila for supper. (finally got bored with all that coffee!)
9. How important I think education is – Important enough that I wish I’d payed less attention to my female teachers’ legs, and more to what they were saying.
10. Put your music player on shuffle & write the first 10 songs that play – Sorry, but I’m not into Shuffle. Skiffle is much better.
And… that’s enough for now. In fact, I have a feeling it’s probably enough forever!

Thanks for your patience with me, as well as your encouragement! 🙂 Since you have encouraged me, I think that I just might finish this list, and even with a certain added surprise at the end. And a BIG congratulations on hanging in there and continuing to be a nonsmoker for 9 months now! WTG Lynda!!!

Thanks Mark – I am very happy being a non-smoker. It’s been 9 whole months! I figure I’ll give myself a year to get through the worst of the cravings & then get tougher with myself about the weight.

Okay, being man of my word, as well as a man of many words, I intend to use many more words here and right now, as I continue my answers for the list!
11. My family – Yeah? What about my family? Huh? We all have things in our personal life that we are not proud of, and we all have families. They say you can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your relatives. I’ll add that while this is true, you can still choose to ask your relatives to leave, when they behave obnoxiously while visiting!
12. Five guys I find attractive – Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman, Paul Newman, George Clooney, and most of all, Chris Sheridan! That guy just really does it for me!
13. My opinions about my body & how comfortable I am with it – I am glad that I have a body, because if I was incorporeal I wouldn’t have a body, and then I couldn’t enjoy showing off my body. I am quite comfortable with my body, except when my back hurts, and I just wish that my body would stop this very annoying trend of becoming an older body! This is NOT what I signed up for!
14. What you wore today – In my case, this question is based on the very uncertain assumption that I have worn anything today.
15. My Zodiac/horoscope & if I think it fits me – I am also a Sagittarius, but I do not believe in Astrology. However… Astrology believes in me, and just as soon as I typed that, my paper shredder turned itself on for 5 seconds before stopping, and really startled me! (I am absolutely serious and telling the truth! It has NEVER done that before, and I just unplugged the damn thing!)
What do I mean by saying that I don’t believe in Astrology, but Astrology believes in me? Well, my wife reads me my horoscope almost every day, and often from more than one source, and almost every day, my horoscope is uncannily accurate. It is so accurate, that I want to just know WHO these people are, why they are following me around, and how do they know so much about me? Again, I am absolutely serious and telling the truth, and this is very unnerving to me! I wish that Astrology would just mind it’s own business and leave me alone!
I will now proceed to “30 Ways Part 2” and start answering those questions.
