This week’s prompt is:
Fantasy Vacation
You have just won an all-expenses-paid week of vacation. Where would you go? What would you do? This is your fantasy vacation, so let your imagination soar. There are no limits of time, space, or even your own identity. You can leave your job, your family, everyone and everything at home if you like (just make sure they don’t read your blog or you’ll have a lot of explaining to do). Go for it!
I know, I know – cruise ships have gotten a bad reputation lately! But the best vacation I ever had was a one week cruise around the Bahamas.
I love that everything is done for you, you never have to worry about a meal or entertainment, everything is right at your fingertips! The food was divine!
For people like me (who love to play games) there are games going on all around the ship at different times of days. I even won a prize for being able to take my bra off the fastest & get it to the stage first! (all without removing my shirt of course, you pervs!)
The staff is always friendly, the beds are to die for! I have never slept on such a comfortable bed in all my life & the pillows are heavenly. We had a port side stateroom with a balcony & I loved sitting on the balcony watching the ship enter & leave the different destinations on our cruise.
You can choose to be busy almost every day by taking excursions when you reach a port or you can just enjoy the peace & sun aboard ship. There are saltwater pools & regular pools, rock climbing, running tracks, salons & spas, a place where you can tan topless if you wish, places to dance, drink, shop & gamble. It’s like a floating city!
I loved everything about our cruise & would do it again! I would love to do the Alaskan cruise & another Bahamas cruise.

I think any vacation where I could just enjoy myself would do.
My wife would like to take a cruise at some point. We’ll probably do a Disney one.

You must really like kids then – I wouldn’t be caught dead on a Disney ship where everything caters to the kids. I want a grown up vacation where I can dance, party, gamble, drink, etc., etc.

We love going on cruises. The kids can do their own thing while we do ours. I love just sitting on the deck reading or doing a beach excursion when the ship docks. So peaceful, and the forced disconnection from the Internet can be a blessing. 🙂

I love it can be as busy or peaceful as you want it to be – you choose how you spend your time on the ship or off it.

I cruised the Hawai’ian Islands with my sister many years ago. I loved traveling in my hotel, waking up at a different port every day with a new adventure to look forward to and sleeping in the same nice cozy bed each night. Yes, I think I’d do the cruise thing…this time with my sweet husband! xoxoM

Such a great advantage – getting to see many places without having to pack your suitcase to do it!

Benze, I truly have to try taking a cruise one of these days because like you, everyone I’ve ever spoke to who has been one (or several) say the same great things. They love them!
“I would love to do the Alaskan cruise”
Ditto! If I were to ever take a cruise, Alaska would be the one I would like to do first.

You could come with hubby & I if we win the lottery & can afford to do the Alaska cruise! We are just a quick jump over the Rockies from Vancouver (one of the boarding ports) for Alaska!

No cruises for me. I’d go back to Italy. Visit Venice and Florence again. Go to Rome and Lake Cupmo. Italy is the best. Food. People. Art. History. What’s not to like?

I could see that but I don’t think I’d be able to handle the rolling streets, etc. Bring back lots of pics if you do go!

Thank you for the nomination April, but I already have the award (on my awards page) & I don’t think I qualify anymore. I wish you continued success & thank you for the honor!

Only a week? That hampers my options as it takes so long to fly where I like to go. Would teleportation be a thing by the time I win this prize? That would help. A cruise would be off the cards, I don’t like spending vacationing half naked in my swimmers amongst other people.
I always return to Thailand so would probably say that, the weather, the food and I can live in relative luxury. But am in Spain with friends in two months for two weeks, private villa, a 5 minute stroll to a small quiet beach, drinking mojitos and watching the football World Cup on the TV of beachfront bars. It does for me

In Europe you can get to so many places with short flights. Over here, we would fly for many hours to get to Spain! You don’t have to be half-naked all the time on a cruise because there are so many choices of what you can do. If you want to gamble all the time in the casino or something else, that’s up to you. You can get off at stops along the way & explore different destinations for a few hours or not.
BTW, still waiting for pics of the new place!
