It’s that time again.  I am really enjoying the Share Your World prompts, if you like what you see here, why not hop  over to Cee’s Photography to see how to participate yourself?  Here are this week’s questions:

What are some words that just make you smile?

Flirtatious, conundrum, cacophony, mischievous and  wistfully all make me smile.  I notice after I made my list they are all three syllables or more – I guess I like big words.

When you lose electricity in a storm, do you light the candles or turn on the flashlight? How many of each do you own?

When the power goes out I reach for a candle while hubby reaches for flashlights.  He used to be in the business of supplying ambulances & fire trucks with specialty flashlights, so he has at least 3 or 4 flashlights on hand at all times.  I love scented candles & pretty candle holders so I reach for candles.  If push came to shove I could probably stay lit for a good long time because including tapers, I probably have about 100 candles.  Our big problem now is finding something to light them with since we both quit smoking!   I recently cleaned out some old purses & my former work bag & found about half a dozen lighters from when I used to smoke, so now we have them in one convenient location for power failures.

What is the longest book you ever read?

I believe The Stand by Stephen King is the longest book I have read – the unabridged version.  It comes in around 1300 pages.  Long books are my favorite books to read!  It’s the reason I love series books because you get to know the characters intimately.  I once read Gone with the Wind in one night when I was suffering from insomnia.

So you win a pet monkey at a fair, but this isn’t just any old monkey. It can do one trick for you whenever you want from getting a pop out of the fridge to washing your hair. What would be the trick?

Monkeys scare me, so I don’t think I would want a monkey in my house.  On top of that they are smelly & often mischievous so I would be truly wary about them.  I would prefer a service dog, I think.  And I would just want a service dog to get my hubby when I am coughing really hard & he is sound asleep & can’t hear me.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful I finally got an appointment with the Respiratory Specialist in June.  I am looking forward to hubby finding me a small personal fan since I’m already tired of him asking me if he can close the patio door or turn the box fan off because he’s cold – when I am dying of heat. 🙂
