Yesterday was our 12th Anniversary! We celebrated by ordering in pizza on Friday night. We usually don’t order in, so to us it was a bit of a treat. We are sooooo bad, we still eat in the living room in front of the TV. On Thursday night, after dinner:
“You want a fudgesicle?” Kelvin asked, as he picked up our plates to take them into the kitchen.
“Sure.” I allow myself this one treat a day since I love chocolate so much.
Kelvin took the plates into the kitchen & put them in the dishwasher. The load was almost full so he added a couple of dishes in the sink then he started the dishwasher. On the way back to the couch, he filled his glass with water from the cooler & then sat down.
“Hmmph” I cleared my throat.
“Yeah, yeah,” Kelvin grumped as he headed for the freezer to get the fudgesicles.

The comment was a response to John. He and I both recently published posts about going off our rails, and losing things, attention spans, time, etc., and being distracted by shiny things. Then he admits to you, that he lost (temporarily mislaid) his laptop, so I was twitting (not tweeting) him about it. I can’t lose my laptop, because I use only the big desk-mounted PC, which has a bright, blue, flashing in-operation light. (Ooh, shiny thing.)
But I didn’t want to go away without wishing you a happy anniversary. It was my son’s 42nd birthday, and the 40th anniversary of a new follower, named Linda. Her hubby has been blogging as Bulldog for a while, and telling her all about the nice people he meets online. She’s had a couple of medical scares, including cancer, and he urged her to start with that. She’s only posted 3 – 4 times, including a lovely teacher/student story today. They live in South Africa, so they’re 6 hours ahead of me. (8? ahead of you) 😀
